Q. Define Waves and explain how are waves formed by rope, slinky and ripple tank.

 Waves or Wave Motion:

A method to transport energy from one point to another point without transfer of matter is called wave.

Formation of Waves:

When particles of a medium are disturbed then as a result this disturbance travels from one point to another so by this mechanism energy is transported from one point to another. For Example.

1. Waves in Rope or String       2. Waves in a Slinky Spring     3. Water waves in Ripple Tank

1. Wave Motion by using a Rope:

We can produce waves on a rope by attaching one end on a wall or tree and continuously moving the other end up and down. as shown in figure . These up-and-down movements produce oscillations or vibrations. We can observe that the generated rope waves travel towards the wall or tree, whereas the rope itself moves only up and down. The rope is the medium through which the waves travel or propagate.

2. Waves in a slinky spring:

A slinky spring is a pre-compressed helical or coiled spring, as shown in figure . We can perform several experiments with in the laboratory to understand the phenomenon of different types of wave motion. Attach one end of the spring with a wall. Now moving the free end of the slinky horizontally left and right continuously on the table will be able to see the coils of the spring moving left and right, whereas humps travel to the other end.

3. Water wave in (Ripple Tank):

A ripple tank is a shallow glass tank of water used to demonstrate the basic properties of waves. It is a particular type of wave tank. The ripple tank is usually illuminated from above so that the light shines through the water to visualize the wave being produced. In the laboratory, we can produce water waves with the ripple tank. In the ripple tank, a small vibrator moves up and down the water surface, resulting in the water particles at the surface that are in contact with the dipper being made to move up and down. This up and down motion soon spread to other parts of the water .surface in the tank in the form of ripples. Here the water is the medium through which the ripples travel or propagate.

People with the broken heart

According to palmistry, our hand has three main lines. Heart line , Head line and Life line. Every lines shows a particular trend or situation from which the person has gone through, going or will go in the future. I want your attention towards the heart line. The top line that starts beneath the first finger , sometimes from between first and middle finger and sometimes from under the middle finger. This line describes the situation or destiny of the person that is related with his or her heart. What i have learnt and seen is that a person who has a broken heart has special type of heart line. The heart line having a small boxes on it , is facing a heart breaking period and in some books i have read that the heart line of broken heart people always dies towards the end. So if you want to see that the person has faced or will face the heart break check out the heart line. As a hobby when i read the hands of different people (mostly my friends) or sometimes complete strangers i

Its All In The Mind

Our mind mainly consists of two parts: one is called conscious mind (12%) and the other one is called sub conscious mind(88%). These two parts are very different to each other. Our conscious mind wants reason, it learn, it reacts or all about conscious mind is summarised as the sensible part of our mind. Now if we discussed about the sub conscious mind then it is somewhat different from the first part. The subconscious mind works as a tape recorder, when one thing is stored in it then it repeats just like magnetic tape. It doesn’t want reason, it records rather than learn. The subconscious mind knows how to walk, how to talk and regular working that we repeat time and time again. When we records one time that how to walk then every time we don’t have to think but we just act as the method is recorded in our sub conscious mind. How often we have seen that when we spent some time with a person who is suffering from a disease, after some time we feel that we are also suffering fro

I Want Quaid e Azam's Pakistan !!!

Since i posted "The Independence Day" ,i was trying to gather some facts about the idea behind the creation of Pakistan. Now when i heard about the news that MQM is arranging a Referendum named " What Pakistan Do you want ? Taliban's or Quaid e Azam's ( Muhammad Ali Jinnah)", i decided to make a post in which i will share some of his quotes and reality to my readers . When Quaid-e AzamMuhammad Ali Jinnah came to Pakistan on the invitation of Allama Iqbal he said to the editor of "Daily Zammindar" Zafar Ali Khan and Sardar Rab Nishtar that "I have been  living a rich life in London but i came back here just to create a State of "la ilaha illa Allah" (There is no God Except Allah),otherwise if i  supported the Capitalist System i would have earned lots of money or if i went to Russia and supported the Communist or Socialist system i would have got many Honors but i came here on the invitation of Allama Iqbal and will live a
