Do You Know These Heroes ???

A survey was conducted within the Students of Intermediate in one of the institute ( name is not written) , in which students had to write one line about a particular name. Ten names were given to them including Isaac Newton , Albert Einstein ,James Clark Maxwell , Niel Bohr , Charles Darwin , Ibn ul Haitham , Alberuni , Alkhawarzmi , Abul Qasim  and Umar Khayam.The results were not at all shocking to me because I cannot expect more from this rotten Education System here in Pakistan.I compiled the statistics of results which can be summarised as; 98.2% of the students wrote correct line for the first five names and only 1 % wrote correct line for the last five names in the list.Yes ! Yes ! only one percent of them knew their name .Very shameful that after studying 12 years of school study they didn't know a single line for them.An illiterate person is better than these literates.I am sorry to say this but this is the truth.I am not blaming the students i am blaming the system ,who has not allowed to know about these heroes.Before going forward first you know them.

ABU ALI HASSAN IBN UL HAITHAM : He gave Principle of vision , Described nature of light and declared it as a form of energy,gave formal definition of ray of light , discovered two laws of reflection , invented pin hole camera , discovered Fermat principle and  wrote a book Kitab ul Manazir.

AL BERUNI :He gave methods of determining the longitude and latitude of a place, Determined densities of material , measured circumference of earth and wrote Qanoon almasoodi.

MUHAMMAS BIN MOSA ALKHAWARZMI :He invented the method of counting based on numerals and decimal , introduces zero number , invented sine and tangent , invented algebra , wrote two great books on Mathematics that are Hisab and Aljabra - wal- muqabla.

JABIR BIN HAYYAN : He started the study of Chemistry ( Keemya) ,His books have been  taught for eight centuries,he discoverd the constituents of Metals.

ABU USMAN JAHIZ : The started the study of science called Biology and his Book Kitaab ul Haiwan was taught for a long time.

IBN E FARNAAS : He was the Master of study of circular motion ( Rotational Motion ) of Stars and he invented the Roch Crystal.

IS'HAQ BIN HUNAIN: A great researcher for medicine

SANAAN BIN SABIT : He did a great work in the field of Astronomy ,now his research is a part of Astro Physics.

AL HAMDANI :His work for the field of Geography is phenomenal.

ABUL QASIM : He is the first person to start the modern surgery and he also invented the surgurical instruments.

AL MAJOOSI : He Started the study of Arteries and introduces the Dental methods.

UMAR KHAYYAM : He was the one who discoverd the study of Trignometry.

IBN E BEETAAR AL JAZRI : He invented the double entry system in accounting.


These are the very few names that i have written here but for a person like who is not good enough with the studies i know about them but believe me there are other who needs to be discovered.I collected these names with the the help of my American friend Mary Gonzalez studying in Oxford.Yes this data is collected from the University of Oxford, they give then the respect they deserve but we so called Muslims do not give a single sentence of respect to them.But what i don't like that they do not share this knowledge with all but these books are lying with the dust of them.If they are sincere with the science so they have to tell every student about the correct person behind the discovery.In our countries library ( which are very few) we have every rotten story between two lovers ,dramas , science discoveries and all other unnecessary books written by Englishmen or American but the heroes belongs to us are always neglected.

For a nation it is important to remember their heroes otherwise the history will never remember us.
